How has the bar been raised for The Expendables 2?
On the sequel you’ve lost the element of surprise. Usually, on the first one you may not go very, very deep into character; the second one you start to explore the character a bit more. But the odds that you can surprise them become, like I said, a lot heavier. So you have to work more and more to come up with some creative devices to keep the action flowing.
