Aerosmith & ZZ Top (Album Reviews)

The 13th Floor

It seems that ageing rockers are everywhere these days. The over-60 set (Stones, Clapton, McCartney, Waters, Who, Springsteen) dominated the Hurricane Sandy Relief Concert, The Pretty Things just rolled into town for the first time in 47 years and I just witnessed terrific live sets from Neil Young and Patti Smith. But that doesn’t necessarily mean every band should hang around until they drop. New releases by Aerosmith and ZZ Top make a case for mandatory retirement for a least some wrinkly rockers. zz-top-la-futura-front
